How to Get Started

• Consider age restrictions: Safety and liability issues have prompted us to set an age policy for our work sites. In addition, volunteers housed at a PDA volunteer villages must be age 18 or older. Some of our church sites welcome youth groups.
• Reserve your spot: Peak times fill up quickly, so plan ahead. Call the PDA Reservation Call Center at 1 (866) 732-6121 or register online. Be sure to request the Olive Tree (New Orleans East) or FISH Camp (Luling) location. Alternatively, email or call us at 1 (877) 942-0444 to request housing at one of our church sites.
• Tell us more about you: Be sure to send in your team skills assessment when it is requested. This will help us assign you to work that matches your abilities.

Long Term Volunteer Opportunities

Contact us to find out more about the Young Adult Volunteer program or Americorps Louisiana Delta Service Corps program. A year of service with either program runs from September through July.
